A crowded yet empty world?

Everyday Conversations

In life we have a deep need to feel heard and understood. Yet so often our everyday conversations are comprised of alternating monologues, in which no one is really listening. A lot is said, and so little is heard.

Hearing Yourself

I notice that my clients often inhabit a 'crowded yet empty world'; full of people speaking either 'at' or 'for' them. Rarely, are they heard by others - even those closest to them. Moreover they cannot easily ‘hear’ themselves. Perhaps you sometimes feel like this?

Understanding Yourself

At the core of my therapeutic approach is the hope that you will begin to feel both heard and understood. When you feel someone really understands you; it becomes easier for you to understand yourself at a deeper level.
